Requirement to rent a moto

To rent a motorcycle from D&M Corfu Moto Rental, you need a valid driving license that complies with European Union regulations.

  • Motorcycle License 50-80cc(AM category license) from 17 years old – up to 50cc
  • Motorbike License 125cc (A1 category license) from 18 years old – up to 125cc
  • Motorbike License 35kw(A2 category license) from 21 years old – up to 400cc
  • Motorbike License no limit(A category license) from 24 years old – unlimited cc

For quad rental a car driving license is required from 21 years old – unlimited cc, held for at least one year.

With the rental:

  • Helmets are provided for free

  • Phone holders on request (we will answer with an email if available)
  • Airport delivery after 23:00 to 08:00 has to be arranged by personal contact by email-WhatsApp

Insurance cover

Accidents to be reported immediately.

  • Full coverage of body injuries for third part up to 440.000 euro.
  • Full coverage for material damage for third part up to 88.000 euro.
  • Full coverage for material damage of your motorcycle for the amount of its value.
  • Full coverage for theft or incendiarism of your motorcycle for the amount of its value.
  • For damages to the rental bike, the customer is responsible for up to €200 for 50-125cc bikes, up to €500 for other groups, and up to €600 for quads.(In case of driver’s responsibility only)
  • Third party insured vehicles need to use credit card or cash for required deposit at the time of the rental

What are the indispensable suppositions for insurance coverage ?

  • The driver must possess the right class of driver’s license for the vahicle.
  • The driver is prohibited from operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
  • The vehicle needs to travel on roads with asphalt.
  • The driver’s name must appear on the motorbike contract as the vehicle’s driver.
  • It is required for a driver to be at least 16 years old to operate a motorcycle up to 50cc, over 21 years old for motorcycles between 51 and 80cc, and over 23 years old for motorcycles exceeding 80cc.
  • The contract needs to specify that full insurance coverage is provided.
  • There must be an indication on the contract for full insurance coverage.

Points of Notice For Drivers:

  1. The vehicle is the property of the hirer and is kept in perfect working condition.
  2. The client is obliged to return the vehicle in the same condition (excepting natural deterioration) with all tools, helmets e.t.c. The cost of bended rims, damaged tires and lose or damaged helmets is not covered by any type of insurance.
  3. The client will pay in advance and the vehicle must be returned at the reappointed time. Delay more than 30 min. means payment of an extra day rental.
  4. The vehicle should not be used against the Highway Code, should not be driven on unmade or not asphalted roads, with punctured or flat tires, with more weight than that stated by the manufacturer.
  5. Only the person whose name is stated on the contract is allowed to drive the vehicle. Subletting is prohibited.
  6. The client has knowledge of hiring a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, cancels all the contract terms and insurance covers and makes him responsible for any type of damage caused on the vehicle and/or third party. He has to park the vehicle in safe places, and always with the steering and the ignition switch locked.
  7. The client knows that riding a motorbike or scooter without helmets is forbidden and against Highway Code and affirms that the obtained from the hirer the according helmets as the start of the rental period.
  8. ln case of THIRD PARTY INSURANCE ONLY all the damages caused by the client or others to the above vehicle should be paid by the client.
  9. ln case of third party insurance liability C.D.W. and F.D.W. (Full insurance), the client accepts to pay the amount is printed on the insurance excess tab of this contract.
  10. ln case of accident or breakdown the client must inform the owner immediately. The service hours are from 08.00 am till 20.00 pm. The rental company doesn’t provide any road service outside the above mentioned time frame.(in emergency situations of course we will be close to you any time)
  11. The client admits the owner’s right to deny the repayment for any reason after the signing of this contract. No refund- no cancellations.
  12. lt is explicitly forbidden to leave the island of Corfu with the rented vehicle.(the possibility is given after the written permission of the company)
  13. The client admits the owner’s right to take the vehicle back if any of the contract terms is not followed by the client.

Return a moto

You should refill the tank the same as you have rented it or we will pay for the missing gasoline when you bring  the motorcycle.Most times the bikes are half to full.

Price

For rentals lasting three days or longer, everything mentioned above is included in the rental fee for rentals lasting less than three days, there will be an additional fee. The cost includes the helmet. 24% VAT is included in the price.

The option to deliver and pick up a vehicle at the “other” location presupposes the possibility of an additional charge and possibly the impossibility of delivery. For the exact delivery location of the vehicle and details for billing, etc., the final booking will be made after communication by email.
